Northwood University Fashion SHOWCASE
Northwood University Fashion Showcase is an annual event run 100% by students and made possible through the generosity of alumni, supporters, friends, and corporations. Students gather garments from over ten different boutiques and brands to style looks to display on the runway. NUFS allows students to gain experience in areas of photography, video production, graphic design, model management, choreography, stage lighting, web design, and program development.
The Student Design segment of the showcase includes the creative and unique work of Northwood University students. Students design new garments using various forms of materials to create a collection to display. They compete to win a prize donated by generous supporters of the program. Past students have designed dresses, pants, painted jeans, reworked thrifted apparel and much more. With Student Design, the possibilities are endless and give students a creative outlet that may not be found anywhere else. This year NUFS will be showcasing the designers collections throughout the entire shows.

Founded in 2001 by the Town & Campus board of women, the Northwood University Style Show was created to enhance the educational experience of aspiring business leaders while providing an entertaining, refreshing, and educational fashion event in Midland, MI.
Over the last 23 years, the program has grown to be a showcase for the partnership between students, contributing fashion brands, and our University alumni that culminates to produce this experiential learning experience at Northwood University.

Northwood university style show… is now northwood university fashion showcase
In 2020, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, the Northwood University Style Show is now the Northwood University Fashion Showcase. The establishment of the Northwood University Fashion Showcase will allow us to design a plan for our work to carry into the program’s future which will open the door for more generations of aspiring fashion business leaders to get a Northwood education and take advantage of the experiential learning opportunities that are provided.
