A key aspect of our fashion show that often goes unnoticed is that student designers fund their creations. Materials can be expensive—fabrics alone can cost hundreds of dollars—and while there is prize money, it’s not guaranteed. For many students, the financial burden of sourcing materials can be a barrier, limiting creativity and causing stress.
